Omega-3 fatty acids in Krill oil are bound to more complex Phospholipids, e.g. Phosphatidylcholine. In contrast to fish oil, the high valued Omega-3 fatty acids in Krill oil are preferably bound at the one site nature prefers to pick them for further use. For Krill oil this important difference results in higher bioavailability of its Omega-3 fatty acids with superior value for specified and functional nutrition. EPA and DHA in Krill oil are nearer to nature needs.

Astaxanthin in Krill oil is a natural Carotinoid formed by marine microalgae who are part of the diet of Euphausia superba (Antarctic krill). Astaxanthin is known for its powerful antioxidative properties.

• EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with daily intake of in total 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
• DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
